HORN PARK COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
The Horn Park Community Centre is held in trust and managed on behalf of the local community by the Horn Park Community Association.
Horn Park Community Association is governed by a Constitution and a Management Committee is elected at an Annual General Meeting of members, which is open to both association members and residents.
We operate the facilities with two part-time paid employees, since much of the running of the centre is done by volunteers from the management committee. This allows the building to be maintained to the required standard and the Association has been complimented many times upon the progress of improvements by both building users and visitors.
It was decided in 2011 that the Association would no longer seek funding from the local authority (Royal Borough of Greenwich). The Association is therefore wholly responsible for all the costs associated with such a large complicated building . There were a number of reasons for this change, amongst which was a commitment to provide a community centre without placing any financial burden on the residents of the borough. We are, therefore, fully independent of any outside funding and must raise all the funds we need ourselves.
To make a donation, please send a cheque to Horn Park Community Association, 96 Sibthorpe Road, Lee, London, SE12 9DP. (made payable to Horn Park Community Association). We are a Registered Charity, Charity No. 273925. If you require a receipt please let us know your return address.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
